SANCTUARY DEDICATION

WE INVITE YOU TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS HISTORIC DAY, HERE IS HOW YOU CAN GET INVOLVED:

PLAN TO ATTEND
We hope you will make plans to join us on Sunday, January 9, 2022 as we dedicate our new sanctuary. This will be a special day of celebration and reflection as it also marks 28 years of life and ministry since the first service in Southminster’s history on January 9, 1994.

JOIN THE CELEBRATION
Do you love to sing? We invite you to share your gifts on this special occasion. Come and participate in the gathering song on January 9th during our dedication service. Those interested will lead a procession into the sanctuary to start the service. Participants will return to their seats to worship with family after the medley. Mark your calendar for the these practices:

  • JAN 2 from 5:30-6:30 // JAN 5 from 7:00-8:00

24 HOURS OF PRAYER
We want to cover our new sanctuary and the next chapter of our life together in prayer. We are calling Southminster to 24 hours of prayer as we move toward the dedication of our sanctuary. Continuous prayer will begin on Saturday, January 8th at 10:30am and will continue as we move into worship on the 9th. We encourage you to sign-up for a 30-minute prayer slot by clicking the link below or by visiting the white board in the lobby. A prayer guide will be provided for those who would like one.

HELP WITH THE GUEST LIST
Several invitations have already been sent for the dedication service, including all current members of Southminster; founding Pastor Jerry and Linda Bron; members of the Presbytery of Western North Carolina; charter members of Southminster and family members of the individuals honored or remembered in the stained glass windows.
This is a significant undertaking, and our desire to to be sure we haven’t missed anyone, or sent an invitation to the wrong address. If you have a question about the invitation of a specific individual, please send their name and current address to Amy Parker so we can mail an invitation as quickly as possible.
